Import and export your product catalogue

Learn how to import and export your full product and item catalogue in Shine. Quickly add multiple products at once or download your existing catalogue as a CSV file.

General practices

Shine allows you to manage your products and items directly from your product catalogue.

If you already have a large number of products, adding them one by one can be time-consuming. The catalogue import feature allows you to bulk-create products using a CSV file, making it easier to set up your catalogue or migrate your product data from another tool.

You can also export your complete product catalogue to CSV at any time.

The import and export features are available on the web version of Shine for users in France, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Export your product catalogue

To download your existing product and item catalogue:

  • Go to your Product catalogue

  • Click on Export

  • Your complete product/item list will be downloaded as a CSV file

You can use this file to review your catalogue data or work with it outside of Shine.

Import products into your catalogue

To add multiple products or items at once:

  • Go to your Product catalogue

  • Click on Import

  • Download the sample CSV file if you need an example of the required format

  • Add your products and their information to the CSV file

  • Upload the completed CSV file using the drag-and-drop import window

  • Review the imported data and correct any errors identified by Shine

  • Complete the import to add the products to your catalogue

Shine performs row-level validation during the import. If information in a particular row is missing or incorrectly formatted, you can identify and correct the affected entry before completing the import.

Manage existing products

The CSV import is designed to help you create products in bulk.

If you want to modify or delete products that are already in your catalogue, you can use the existing bulk modification and deletion options directly from the product catalogue interface.
